Greenwich Millennium Village, in south-east London is one of the most exciting architectural, environmental and regenerative projects taking place in the UK. The project has been slowly expanding over the last 16 years and development still continues.

The initial village itself was designed by the architects Ralph Erskine and EPR Architects Ltd. One of the key technical considerations was the environment – with the site aim to cut energy consumption by 80% per household. This has made it an incredible undertaking and currently over 2000 flats have been built in the area.

Valcan was contacted to supply exterior cladding for Wilmott Dixon builders to create the eye catching balcony areas for the building. The top floor luxury apartments surrounded in custom colour aluminium cladding bring the building to live and bring the designs of the architects Jestico and Whiles to life.

The design called for a completely custom colour range. We were able to work with the designers to provide 20 different custom RAL colours and Vitrabond Aluminium cladding panels to work with. These panels were all finished in full gloss to let the colours really shine through on the project.
