Project Update: East Park, Exeter – Phase 1

Valcan have been involved with the new student accommodation blocks at Upper East Park for the University of Exeter on Rennes Drive. The development consists of 11 blocks ranging from 3 up to 11 storeys consisting of a total of 1182 bedrooms.

The development is split into 2 phases with blocks A to D and G to J being handed over in September 2020, this totals 604 beds

Valcan are supplying over 8,000m2 of Ceramapanel in 8mm thick panels for face fixing. The colour chosen is Natural Textures Raw 1041 linen.

The architect who worked on the project is Stride Treglown in Bristol, the main contractor is Vinci Construction, the installer is Longworth Building Services and panels supplied through Vivalda Limited.

Ceramapanel is a through coloured compressed fibre cement with an A1 fire rating to EN13501-1.
