Chestnut Park School, Croydon

Chestnut Park School is one of Croydon’s newest primary schools. Jointly funded by Croydon Council and the Education Funding Authority, the project delivers a modern learning environment enriched with innovative design features - most notably a secure rooftop deck that allows pupils to enjoy outdoor education in a safe and stimulating setting.

• 5360 Ersatze Corten – A realistic weathered‑steel effect that replicates the warm, rustic tones of traditional Corten without the maintenance challenges. This durable finish delivers the coveted industrial look while retaining the lightweight, non‑combustible benefits of Vitradual.
• 9205 Champagne Metallic – A subtle light‑gold metallic with a refined sparkle, adding brightness and elegance to the façade.
• 9134 Smoke Silver Metallic – A deeper metallic grey that provides contrast and balance, offering a sophisticated backdrop to the brighter tones.

These metallic finishes demonstrate the design flexibility of Vitradual. Whether used individually or combined, they create visually striking results—from bold and contemporary to understated and refined. Vitrabond is an aluminium composite material comprising of two aluminium skins encompassing a core. This core can be FR or A2 rated. FR, which is a fire rated core and achieves a B rating to Euro-Class EN13501-1 standard. The FR core is a popular product for buildings under 18m high that are not requiring a non-combustible material. A2 Core is top achieving Vitrabond product. A2 core achieves A2 rating to EN13501-1 standard and is deemed a non-combustible product.

All Vitrabond products are very versatile and are easy to fabricate and install. Panels can be cut, rolled, routed, roll-bended, folded and perforated with our loss of its structural integrity.
