Ceramapanel - Fully Recyclable:
Our fibre cement cladding panels can be completely recycled, thanks to specialist companies that handle waste material. They shred the surplus materials and mix them with other substances to create road surfaces, minimising the demand for new raw materials. This process helps reduce the need for extracting new raw materials, making it an eco-friendly choice for construction projects.
Recycling Program for Aluminium Panels:
We believe in the power of recycling and have implemented a recycling program for our aluminium panels. Customers can return old or damaged panels to us, and we will recycle the materials, ensuring that resources are utilised efficiently where waste is minimised.
Repurposing Aluminium Panels into VitraFix Components:
In our pursuit of sustainability, we have developed an innovative process to repurpose aluminium panels into parts for our VitraFix range. By giving new life to these materials, we reduce waste and promote a circular economy.
Minimising Waste Through Closed-Loop Logistics
Valcan operates a pallet return and recycling scheme designed to reduce waste across the delivery process. Pallets used in the transportation of materials can be collected from site and returned for reuse or recycling, helping to minimise the volume of packaging sent to landfill.
This approach supports a more efficient use of resources within the supply chain, while offering customers a practical way to manage waste on site.
Transparent Environmental Data Through EPDs
Valcan supports the use of Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) to provide clear, independently verified data on the environmental impact of construction materials.
EPDs offer a standardised way to assess products across their life cycle, enabling architects, specifiers and contractors to make informed, evidence-based decisions using comparable data.
Products including Vitradual and Ceramapanel carry independently verified EPD certification, with full documentation available via the Valcan website. These declarations are developed in accordance with recognised international standards and verified by accredited programme operators.

At Valcan, our approach is focused on continually reviewing and improving how we operate, with an emphasis on quality, consistency and environmental management.
