Weavers Quay is a new build site providing over 200 bedroom apartments in a marina side location with close and easy access to the city centre. Weavers Quay provides 1,2 & 3 bed rental apartments, complete with residents’ club room, 64 on-site car and 130 on-site cycle spaces, and a 24-hour concierge service. After much negotiation with colours and materials, Valcan were pleased to be selected to be the cladding supplier of choice for Vitrabond A2.

The final colours opted for were 5855 Brushed aluminium, 5801 Brilliant Mirror, 1255 Anthrazit Grey, 9137 Dark Grey Metallic and 9205 Champagne Metallic. The different coloured panels were used to create a chequered effect across the building creating an eye catching and unique facade with the mirror highlights giving the extra 3D feel with the every changing sky.

Part of Manchester Life’s mission is to redefine the standards of Manchester’s rental market by delivering exceptional customer service right from the start of the rental process, providing on site facilities such as club rooms and gyms, and the attention to detail to encourage people to stay for longer. Weavers Quay is one of 6 phases to have planning approval and sets a new benchmark for residential accommodation.

About Valcan VitraBond
Vitrabond A2 is a Class A2 Product. Class A2 products are described as having no significant contribution to fire at any stage. Vitrabond A2 is still as durable and versatile as any ACM and can be routed/ bent as per any of our aluminium composite cladding materials, giving you the freedom of creating seamless facades that ensure the elements are kept away from the main structure.Rainscreen facades are mainly used on taller building which are more susceptible to weather damage but are becoming more and more popular as a quick and easy way to date the look of building or to make building stand out with it own unique design or colour. Due to the extensive availability of colours and finishes in rainscreen cladding, it is also becoming increasingly used in brand identity, making stores easily recognisable from a distance. Whatever the application, there is a finish for everyone, if you can’t see it in our standard colour range, we offer bespoke matching service to create your perfect facade.
