Back in 2009, a proposal for one of the most ambitious and dramatic regeneration projects ever to be launched in Stratford, East London achieved final permission. Genesis Housing Group created the scheme located at the prinicpal entrance to the new Olympic Park.
It invoved the redevelopment of a former light industrial site to create six mixed-use, mixed-tenure buildings as well as the extension and restoriation of locally listed Warton House. The flagship project was located at the approach to the Olympic Games and opposite the Olympic coach station.
The Stratford Halo site as it is now called, is best known for the 43-story blue and purple clad tower, but it also comprises of six other buildings, including residential apartment blocks; Opal, Ruby and Amber Court.
