The Premier Inn Southampton West Quay is a popular choice for travellers due to its convenient location in the centre of Southampton, making it easy to explore the city's attractions and landmarks. The hotel is just a short walk away from the Titanic Engineer Officers Memorial, adding a historical touch to its surroundings.
Valcan supplied 1700m2 of VitraDual A1 aluminium cladding to distributor Vivalda for the recladding of the Southampton West Quay Premier Inn. The installation was expertly carried out by Clarkes Facades, who removed the existing ACM panels and replaced them with the durable marine-grade VitraDual panels, due to the location of the hotel, close to the seafront.
Architects Axiom specified VitraDual in RAL 7023 Concrete grey and RAL 9007 grey aluminium for the new façade. This choice not only gave the building a modern and updated look but also improved its safety and compliance standards. Whitbread is known for its commitment to quality and safety, so the decision to upgrade the façade was in line with their values. The new façade not only enhances the aesthetic appeal of the building but also provides peace of mind to guests, knowing that they are staying in a secure and well-maintained establishment
