David Metcalfe is a physics graduate with a master’s degree in Façade Engineering. As Director of CWCT he is responsible for all the Centre’s technical and training output. He lectures extensively on building physics, glass and fire. Current work includes updating CWCT’s fire guidance and a new focus on sustainability, with CWCT providing key leadership in the area in relation to facades.
He is a board member of the Society of Façade Engineering responsible for Education and Membership, chairs the SFE Fire Committee and is a member of SFE Technical Committee.
Founded in 1989, the CWCT is now supported by over 400 member companies drawn from the broad spectrum of the industry, from clients and architects to contractors and manufacturers.
CWCT carries out training and produces technical standards and guidance documents on all aspects of façade engineering.
David joins our line-up of speakers, including Amanda Long and Chris Watts, who will be sharing their knowledge about important issues in construction such as changes to building safety regulations, construction product information, fire safety, compliance and how we should drive positive change in the construction industry.
This free event is aimed at Architects, Main Contractors, Installers and Specifiers. Register your interest for the Façade HUB 2025.
