Collins Place is a large, multi-occupied residential building fronting Fratton Bridge roundabout in Portsmouth. This remediation project comprised of the complete removal of the existing combustible cladding installation including rainscreen, insulation, subframe and sheathing board. 

Client Vivid Homes, enlisted Lawtech as the Main Contractor on this recladding project and specified Valcan’s Vitradual A1 Aluminium rainscreen cladding panels in white and a burnt orange shade in a RAL colour 040 40 50 to match the previously installed cladding. This was installed by CSW cladding using our VitraFix VF1 rivet fix system.

VitraDual is a versatile cladding system that not only meets A1 fire rating standards for safety but also offers exceptional durability,

impact resistance, and weather resistance. This was specified to ensure the building's safety while also prioritising longevity and performance.

During these works, main contractors Lawtech worked with residents to minimise disruption and enhance customer satisfaction. Lawtech also supported VIVID with a Community Hub located across from our site, this is a place for community events, engagement and skill building for all members of the local community.

The completed project gives the façade a new fresh look whilst also ensuring the building is safer for the residence.
