Introduction

SolidSafe® is designed to meet industry compliance standards, offering an A1 non-combustible solution for aluminium façades. Its solid aluminium construction ensures exceptional durability and high impact resistance.

SolidSafe® panels also feature the Durable Prosafeco coating, providing flexibility for the panels to be folded, reducing the risk of crazing. Additionally, you can choose from a range of finishes, including matt, satin, or gloss effects.

SolidSafe® Aluminium Cladding is manufactured to EN485-3 and and is A1 rated to BS EN 13501-1 (non-combustible), high impact resistant solid panel providing exceptional durability and mechanical benefits, due to the marine-grade 5754 aluminium.

COATING SYSTEMS
Valcan SolidSafe® uses Prosafeco coating system technology which boasts superior quality and our full-colour matching range as well as RAL colours, matt and high gloss finishes. The sheets can be folded without cracking. 

Valcan SolidSafe® cladding panels are prefinished, so they do not need fabrication before the coating process - this is unlike standard powder-coated systems and results in lower costs and reduced lead times.

Fixing Types 


PLANK SYSTEM

In the Plank system, SolidSafe panels are fabricated into planks that are installed to the building substrate using the VitraFix VF1 support framing system and a secret fix mechanical fastener.

The planks are overlapped and fixed together as an interlocking system, which provides a continuous, smooth surface without visible fixings. This system is often used for projects where a timber plank alternative is required, or that type of look desired.



SPANDREL PANELS

Spandrel panels are a key consideration in curtain wall facades. They are installed in the gap between the vision areas of windows, ensuring aesthetic consistency from the outside and concealing the floor slabs, structural columns and shear walls within.

As part of the external wall system, spandrel panels must play an important role in meeting requirements for thermal efficiency, water control and fire safety.


SHINGLE PANELS

Shingles Panels are a wall covering consisting of individual overlapping elements. They are installed onto a VitraFix carrier system.

Shingles are laid in courses, or rows, from the bottom to the top of the wall, with each successive course overlapping the joint of the one below.


CASSETTE FIX

SolidSafe panels are fabricated into “tray” panels with returns on all 4 sides, colour matched fixings are then installed in the joints/reveals to give a ‘discrete’ fixing system.
