Building Safety Regulator Strategic Plan

The Building Safety Regulator (BSR), recently released its strategic plan. The plan outlines the BSR's approach to ensuring building safety and sets forth its roadmap for the next five years, concluding in March 2026.

BSR in England is part of HSE and was established under The Building Safety Act 2022 to:

• regulate higher-risk buildings
• raise safety standards of all buildings
• help professionals in design, construction, and building control, to improve their competence

To achieve this, the BSR will focus on several key areas, including the development and implementation of a robust regulatory framework, the establishment of a comprehensive oversight system, and the promotion of a culture of accountability within the construction industry.
