We recently visited the site of the almost completed Alfred Gunn House project in Oldbury, and we were thrilled to see how our fibre cement Ceramapanel cladding panels are helping to modernize the 1960s building's exterior. Panels were installed with a rivet fix system by IPS Group.
This project led by main contractors Seddon, has consisted of extensive external refurbishment to three tower blocks: installation of all cladding, windows, enclosed balcony extensions, fire protection works, lift upgrades and a new, external staircase. Works also comprised of the construction of 10 flats on the roof and the creation of five new homes in the basement.
Sandwell Council Urban Design (SMBC), specified 3216m2 of Valcan’s Cerampanel A1 fibre cement cladding panels, in a range of complimentary colours including Bleached cotton, Light Slate, Rain cloud, Linen, Cappuccino all in Natural textures.
We're excited to see the progress being made at Alfred Gunn House and can't wait to see the finished result when the project is due to end in winter 2024.
