The Amersham Vale development was a new build of 120 homes spread across a collection of apartments, maisonettes and houses set beside Charlottenburg Park. The accommodation ranges from 1 bedroom apartments through to 4 bedroom homes with a private landscaped garden area.
To create a compliant and cost-effective rainscreen facade system, Valcan’s non-combustible aluminium panel, VitraDual, was selected installed back to the VitraFix VF1 carrier system using colour-matched fixings.
VitraFix is an aluminium carrier system deemed non-combustible under the European Directive which provides a solution that allows a wide range of panels to be installed on any building from flat sheet systems through to cassette panels and secret install systems using undercut anchors.
For this project, cassette installation was chosen and utilised the VF1 240mm bracket system, associated fixings and panhead fixings colour matched to the custom finish of the VitraDual panels.
VitraDual is an aluminium cladding panel utilised for raisncreen facades, the panel can be installed as either face fixed flat sheets or formed into cassette/tray panels like on this project. VitraDual achieves an A1 fire rating to BS EN 13501-1 and is covered by a BBA accreditation as well as being wind tested in both installation methods with the VitraFix carrier system to the requirements of CWCT.
