The capital Quarter project was a reclad of a non-compliant facade system to bring the project up to the requirements of the Approved Document B.
The project utilised over 5,000m2 of VitraDual in 3 standard metallic colours to replicate closely the original installation formed into cassette tray panels and installed using colour matched pan-head fixings from the Vitrafix range.
About Valcan VitraDual
VitraDual is an aluminium cladding panel utilised for raisncreen facades, the panel can be installed as either face fixed flat sheets or formed into cassette/tray panels like on this project. VitraDual achieves an A1 fire rating to BS EN 13501-1 and is covered by a BBA accreditation as well as being wind tested in both installation methods with the Vitrafix carrier system to the requirements of CWCT.
