Fulbourne Road, Gallery Court

Valcan recently revisited Gallery Court in Fulbourne Road, Walthamstow - where the recladding of the residential buildings was a result of the original façade being deemed a fire risk.

Sanctuary Housing collaborated with a team of specialist consultants, fire safety experts, and the National House Building Council to address the problem, and after careful consideration, Valcan VitraDual A1 fire rated aluminium cladding panels were selected to replace the existing cladding.

Ardmore Construction, the appointed Main Contractor, began the project in early 2020, working on the 107 home building while residents continued to live there in order to minimise disruption to their daily lives.

They installed the new aluminium panels using our VitraFix subframe system in a colour that matched the previous facade's Bold Cream shade. The successful completion of the project ensures that the building now meets safety standards and regulations, providing peace of mind to both residents and visitors.
