Completed project: Impact house, croydon
Impact House in Croydon was a former commercial tower block that underwent conversion to residential completed in 2019. Floors 1 to 16 where converted to high specification residential dwellings offering a total of 235 apartments, gym and a roof top garden. During the full conversion, the external façade was also upgraded to meet todays regulations using a Vitrabond/A2 which offers an A2-s1, d0 fire rating to EN13501-1. To ensure that the project kept up with the architects design brief, 2 standard colours (9601 Silver Metallic and 1255 Riddle Grey) where chosen along with 2 Custom RAL colours
About Vitrabond
Vitrabond is an aluminium composite panel with an A2 mineral core sandwiched between 2 0.5mm thick aluminium skins, the overall panel thickness is 4mm. Vitrabond is tested to EN13501-1 and achieved a rating of A2-s1, d0 which meets the criteria as set out in regulation 7 of the Approved Document B for relevant buildings. Vitrabond has also been tested to CWCT windloads of 2400pa and safety of 3600pa as well as being accredited with BBA certification
