The Collanades is an established leisure park incorporating over 1 million square feet of retails accommodation. Situated in a prominent area, the complex includes many well know stores such as John Lewis, Next Home, B&Q, Argos etc. The local council took on the renovation project a huge investment for the town as it had been badly affected by financial difficulties and caused businesses within it to close.

Valcan were recently asked to provide cladding for this huge renovation project in a material that was non-combustible, reliable and easy to fabricate as well as being budget friendly. This was achieved using our Vitrabond A2 grade which is very durable and versatile. Included in the specification was a special concrete effect cladding. This is created to give the effect of looking like the natural product but only being a fraction of the weight of the actual product.
